In past discussions, we have spoken of "probable realities" that exist within your field of possibility. These probable realities exist parallel to your present-moment reality. We emphasize these realities are “probable,” which means they are closer to your present-moment than realities that are only “possible.”
All things are in fact possible. We define a probability as a possibility that is a close energetic match to your present moment. It therefore has a greater likelihood of becoming the chosen reality of a future moment in your life experience. When you feel within your self it is time to take the next step of your journey, you are able (even if it has not seemed so in the past) to choose this next step from your field of probabilities.
If you have held a secretarial position for a number of years and now you see your self becoming a spiritual counselor, this is a shift to a new probability. This new reality may have become a "probable reality" over the years as you advanced on your spiritual path and came to be considered a wise source of advise by friends and family.
At this point, change may only be a matter of making the decision to shift to this new probable reality. It is this decision and how you think of it, how you word it to your self, that we wish to speak to you about.
Complete with Your Present Reality Before Shifting to a New One
In making a transition from one reality to another, it is important to hold in your mind the blessings you have received in your present reality. Express gratitude for all that has been here, for the experiences, the learning opportunities and the sharing. Affirm to your self that everything happened perfectly and all is now complete.
Expressing gratitude for the reality you are leaving helps you to release even the hint of a nuance that you are seeking to leave or "run away from" the reality that you are presently experiencing. Understand since you contain it all -- each and every reality you have ever experienced – the idea that it is possible to "leave behind" a reality is illusory. If you feel you are seeking to "get away from" a reality, you will carry thoughtforms about what you "don't want" into your new reality and begin re-creating them there.
Before shifting into a new reality, bring closure to any unresolved emotional energy and heal your experiences into a place of gratitude. Bring the essence of this "old" reality into a bright light and hold it in a place of love.
When you are able to feel love and gratitude for all that has been, you are ready to begin energizing the new probability. When you make the decision to begin this shift, affirm your decision by wording it in terms of what you want rather than what you no longer want.
Release any thoughts of who you have been, who you no longer wish to be, and simply step into the identity of who you are now -- who you choose to be.
By strongly identifying with the self who is experiencing your chosen probable reality, you make it your present-moment reality. By bringing your complete focus to your new reality, you are moving toward who you now choose to be, which naturally creates distance from any past realities and carries you into the full experience of a new reality aligned with the new vision of your present moment and your future.
Choosing the Reality you Prefer
We have spoken to you about a process of adopting the reality you prefer by shifting to the identity of your self that is experiencing that reality.
Once you have made the "identity shift" to your preferred reality, trust it is a "done deal," and go about your day to day life from the perspective of this new identity.
You will notice we have used the word trust. This is quite intentional on our part for it is this word "trust" that we wish to bring into the spotlight of awareness.
Many of you say you have issues of "trust" that make it difficult to trust in the realness of a new reality. We agree, misunderstandings swirl around the word trust in your world but perhaps not in the way you may have come to believe.
Learning to Trust in the Reality You Prefer
Whenever you choose a reality and adopt the identity of your self who is experiencing this reality, take a further step of trusting that this new chosen reality will arrive in your physical reality with perfect timing.
Releasing Past Limiting And/or Negative Identities
As we said in our previous discussion, you can choose an identity self who is experiencing peace and joy -- regardless of the circumstances of your past. In order to step fully into a positive and empowered identity self, you may need to experience the process of "releasing past negative and limiting identities."
As you undertake this transitional process of releasing past limiting or negative identities, you may find some or all of the following steps helpful.
One) Give your self permission to withdraw from any realities or interactions associated with old, limiting or negative identities. Even if there are those close to you who are still "invested" in your old identity, you can choose new ways of interacting with them that are aligned with your new identity. It may be necessary for a time to limit your interaction until you are strongly aligned and centered in your new identity. In time, others will learn to interact with the perspective of your new identity.
Two) Allow and welcome the changes your new identity brings into your life. Understand that a change in identity often equals a change of vibration. In accordance with the Law of Attraction, a change of vibration effectively de-magnetizes some connections in your life while magnetizing new ones. If you shift to a new identity, you may find yourself drawn to a new career, a new course of study, new friends, activities, a new diet and exercise regimen, or other new ways of being.
Three) Open to explore new areas of experience and expression. When you undergo an "identity shift," you become more closely aligned with new and previously unknown aspects of your self. This is why you choose to experience new identities in the first place -- to learn about your self and access new realms of experience. It is likely your new identity self will bring you in o resonance with talents and abilities you have acquired throughout your arc of lifetimes but have not yet discovered in your present lifetime. As these new talents reveal themselves, follow your excitement and passion to explore whatever realms of experience and expression you feel drawn to.
Four) Allow your self to embrace and accept times of uncertainty. Times of transition and change don’t have to be times of depression and anxiety. Instead, they can be times of great anticipation and joy, times filled with abundant opportunities for reshaping your reality and perceiving and adopting new ways of being.
Five) Affirm that as you open to and receive the abundance of the universe, you are infinitely more capable of assisting others, including those closest to you who may initially feel threatened or upset by the changes you are making.
Six) Build into your transitional bridging identity self (and all future identity selves) a wise, nurturing component that loves and knows how to nurture every aspect of your being into a place of healing. This nurturing presence may represent the essence of a wise and loving guide that is an aspect of your higher self. Whenever old voices tell you that you are doomed to repeat painful patterns of the past, invite this nurturing aspect of your consciousness to sit with the parts of your self that are still playing "old tapes." This nurturing aspect of your new identity self can dialogue with these older aspects of your consciousness, or simply sit with them radiating love and understanding.
Seven) Expand your awareness and beliefs to embrace the idea that "identity selves" are designed to be changed, released and adopted in whatever way is necessary for you to grow and progress throughout your lifetime. Just as each generation that incarnates on the Earth plane adds to, improves upon and heals the consciousness and creations of the previous generation, each new identity self adds to, improves and heals the identity selves that came before it. Likewise, each identity self sets down a foundation and creates the causes of new identities that expand consciousness in new and exciting directions.
Eight) Learn to program desired characteristics into all your new identities through intention, will and desire. You may already have characteristics in mind that you would like to adopt. You may wish to be more intuitive, more creative, more compassionate, more giving, more discerning, etc. You may also choose to adopt characteristics of people you admire, or characteristics of those you have read about. Expand your repertoire of desired qualities by becoming an observer.
Observe your world, find what feels peaceful and whole. Observe individuals who you admire, who radiate a peaceful, loving vibration. Study the identity selves of creative and expansive people you know, study biographies of those you admire and wish to emulate. What do these individuals believe about themselves? Find words to describe the characteristics of those you admire. Describe for your self the nature of their identity self. How does it different from yours? How is it similar?
Nine) Refrain from judging past experiences you may consider "dark." Embrace all your experiences, keeping in mind that the extent of darkness always equals the extent of light. Learn to appreciate and express gratitude for all your experiences, for the depths of understanding they have given you. In this way, you are able to transform every circumstance into a joyful opportunity for growth and transformation.
Your Beliefs Determine Your Possibilities
Your beliefs about what is possible in your life determines the field of possibilities from which you choose your future realities. Many people on earth suffer greatly because they perceive only a limited field of possibility for themselves.
If a person grows up in painful and difficult circumstances, for example, they may develop a belief that their field of possibilities is limited to painful and difficult options. Due to this belief, they are unable to see other options. In this way, a person might re-create painful and difficult circumstances throughout their life. This is a misunderstanding that stems from over identification with physical reality – specifically, with one's past. If you experienced pain and suffering in the past and you become identified with it, you see your self as pain and suffering and adopt the identity of "one who experiences pain and suffers." From the perspective of this identity self, you go about your life "as if" you are destined to experience pain and suffering throughout your life.
This is a matter of choice. You can just as easily choose an identity self who is experiencing peace and joy -- regardless of the circumstances of your past.
Choosing an Identity Self Aligned with Joy and Peace
In much the same way that you may have previously seen yourself as "one who experiences pain and difficulty," you can choose to see yourself as "one who experiences joy and peace." You can choose to adopt the identity of "one who loves and is loved," or "one who is abundant and giving," or even as one who is "ecstatically creative and giving birth to great works of art and other forms of expression that help enliven and liberate human consciousness."
In order to step fully into a positive and empowered identity self, some may need to experience the process of "releasing past negative and limiting identities." In this way, you are able to adopt a "transitional bridging identity self" that is experiencing the process of completing with and releasing old identities in preparation for adopting a new positive and radiant identity self.
Understand, as a vast, infinite being, you are able to adopt any identity self you choose at any moment. However, on the earth plane, strong thoughtforms exist about the need for "gradient" or step-by-step transitions. If this method works best for you within the moment, then by all means, feel free to utilize this more gradual process. But even as you undertake a step-by-step transition from a negative to positive identity self, hold in your awareness that you are fully able to choose new identities and realities "within the moment" and that you may prefer this instant transition at some point in the future.
It is possible to hold a vision for your life year after year without seeing it manifest in your physical reality. Many people hold themselves in a place of judgment, feeling there must be something "wrong" when their dreams seem to elude them. There is nothing "wrong," though you may need to adjust your perspective to manifest your vision. We will offer here some insights into how you can transform this circumstance.
One of the most common reasons people fail to manifest their dreams is that their current "identity self" is not aligned with their highest vision. If the vision your higher self brings you is that you are an energy healer but your present identity is that you are a clerk at a fast food restaurant, you have some changes to make in your identity.
As long as the self with which you are strongly identified is vastly different from the self that is experiencing your highest vision, you will go through your days with a feeling of being "outside looking in," with your deepest desires perpetually beyond your reach.
This does not have to be the case. By making a simple adjustment in perspective, you can begin living your highest vision within your present moment. In this way, by identifying with anything you choose to bring into your reality, you make it "real" in your world.
We offer here a process for adopting a new identity self aligned with your highest vision.
One) Enter a quiet, meditative state. Allow the highest vision for your life to come into your mind. Hold this vision in a steady focus, seeing it in as much detail as possible. Feel what it is like to be experiencing this reality. What does it look like? How are you interacting with the people around you? What activities do you participate in?
Two) Ask your self, who is the self experiencing this reality? How is this self different from your present-moment self? What would you have to believe to be this self who is experiencing your highest vision? How do these beliefs differ from your present-moment beliefs?
Three) Observe the differences between this self and your present-moment self. Move back and forth between the self experiencing your highest vision and your present-moment self. Step fully into the feeling state of each self, observing each in detail. Continue to work with the process of moving back and forth between the two until you have a clear understanding of their differences, their similarities, and can move easily between the two.
Four) Set your intention to adopt the self who is experiencing your highest vision as your identity self. Allow this identity to become your focus self.
Five) As you move through your days, allow this new identity self to inform your actions. Observe your thoughts. Observe how you relate to the world from the perspective of this new identity.
This is a process you can use over and over again as your highest vision continues to grow and evolve in your journey of becoming.
